Sharnee Hegarty is a Gunggari Woman, with family connections to Mitchell and Cherbourg Qld. She has worked in various Fields over her career from Aboriginal Health, Maternity & birthing, youth justice, Child Safety & employment.

Her focus has been on specific collaboration & inclusion of Aboriginal people and ensuring culturally appropriate services and engagement. She is trained in facilitation and conflict management, as well as in models of community engagement.

Sharnee has completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Human Services) and is currently completing a Bachelor of Law Honours, as her aspiration is to be a Blak voice in policy and legislation making procedures for Aboriginal people, to ensure their rights are protected and heard.
